NHS Patients, staff and visitors must continue to wear face coverings in healthcare settings
COVID-19 is still with us, and the safety of NHS patients, visitors and staff is our top priority.
The Government has confirmed that while COVID restrictions will end in many settings in England on 19 July 2021, Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines and hospital visiting guidance remain in place for staff and visitors across all health services, for the protection of both staff and patients.
Staff, patients and visitors will also be expected to continue to follow social distancing rules when visiting any care setting as well as using face coverings, masks and other personal protection equipment.
