Changes to Practice from Monday 1st June

Posted on May 29th, 2020

As a practice we have had to make changes to ensure both our patients and colleagues stay safe during this pandemic and we thank you for receiving these so positively. We will continue to adapt whilst trying to minimise unnecessary contact to ensure the practice remains a safe place for those who are unwell should they need to attend. Over the next few weeks:

  • E-consult will remain as the best way to contact the practice with medical concerns or administrative queries and you will be contacted by the team within 48 hours
  • The doors will be open again to the public on Monday 1st June but we have installed a clear screen above reception and will ask you to adhere to social distancing measures when checking in, queuing or waiting in the waiting area
  • Please attend with your own face covering
  • You may be given a mask to wear if you don’t have your own face covering but please be aware that medical PPE supplies are in short supply
  • You will be asked to use alcohol gel and maybe given gloves if you are using the Blood Pressure Machine
  • We will continue to encourage ordering of prescriptions via the NHS App, My GP App, via telephone or online access; if you do need to drop off a paper request please continue to use the box outside and don’t enter the building unless you have to
  • We will send prescription requests directly to the pharmacy so they won’t be printed for collection
  • Appointments will be timed and spread out to avoid having lots of people in the waiting room at once, please arrive on time and not too early as you may be asked to wait in the car or outside should there be too many people within the waiting area.
